Using the ActionShot Feature

Whether you’re monitoring wildlife activity or waiting on a specific target, you can now trigger a live recording anytime, right from your phone.

What Is ActionShot?

Unlike standard motion-triggered footage, ActionShot gives you full control. See a buck show up in a photo? Start filming on the spot. It’s like having a camera operator in the field 24/7.

What You’ll Need:

• A WiseEye DC-2 camera
• The HuntControl app (mobile or desktop)
• A working data plan

Tip: For best results, use external power or a solar panel—video recording uses more battery than standard photos.

How to use it:

1. Open the HuntControl app and select your DC-2 camera
2. Tap the gear icon or go to Remote Control
3. Select ActionShot under the additional settings dropdown
4. Choose your video length — 3, 4, or 5 minutes
5. Confirm the command — the camera will start recording
6. The video is saved on the camera (not sent immediately)
7. Retrieve it later from the SD card or request it through HuntControl

Tips for Best Results:

• Switch to Always On check-in mode for immediate response (if you’re using external power)

Important Notes:

• Only works on the DC-2 camera
• ActionShot videos are stored locally—plan to retrieve them later
• You may receive a thumbnail or preview on HuntControl
